A Metin2 server relies on multiple ‘Channels’ (e.g., CH1, CH2, CH3) to distribute overall player load. In turn, each Channel runs on multiple ‘Cores’ (individual processes executed on your dedicated server).

Dashboard Configuration

By defining your Channels and Cores in the CMS, you allow the CMS backend to intelligently query the status of those exact processes in real-time. Channels and Cores Configuration
1

Add a Channel

Give your channel a recognizable name, such as Channel 1 or CH1.
2

Add Cores to the Channel

Define the specific IP Address and Port that the game server core is bound to and listening on.
3

Verify Connectivity

If set up correctly, the CMS’s real-time Server Status widget will illuminate green when those corresponding IP/PORT combinations are actively accepting connections.
Understanding is_active on Cores: The “Core is active” checkbox acts as a physical toggle switch. It tells the CMS whether it should actively attempt to communicate with that specific core process or ignore it.
